8 Gold Medals at the Central Java QCC Convention 2010

The Central Java QCC Convention organized by the Central Java BPPTK (Balai Peningkatan Produktifitas Tenaga Kerja) was successfully held on November 10th, 2010 at Patra Hotel, Semarang. 22 QCCs from eight companies in Central Java, Indonesia participated in this convention.

There are 8 QCCs from Djarum - Kudus, 5 QCCs from Pertamina - Cilacap, 2 QCCs from Konimex – Solo, 2 QCCs from TPS Food, 2 QCCs from Astra – Honda. AST Indonesia, Gunung Subur, and Jasa Marga each involved one QCC. All participants seemed enthusiastic to follow the convention and to present their treatise.

At this Central Java QCC Convention, eight QCCs received gold medal award. These include Djarum’s ‘Pukul’, Binamarga’s ‘Atlas’, TPS Food’s ‘Q-Intan’, and five more QCCs. Seven QCCs received silver medal award. And, the rest seven QCCs received bronze medal award.

There were six jurors at this QCC convention. These included Stanley Sutrisno from PT. Apac Inti Corpora, Rustamadji from University of Semarang (USM), Triyono Suryoningputro from PMSM (Perhimpunan Manajemen Sumber Daya  Manusia Indonesia) as the foreman, and three other jurors.

QCC (Quality Control Circles) convention is an event where QCCs demonstrate their rule and ability in making improvements in their workplace. This event can also be used as a means to demonstrate commitment to the company's high quality standards, and to give awards to employees who have made improvements.
